Regina Safri (also known as Rere) accompanies the photographs she has selected with essays that reflect her stance againts our current environment, which is no longer something to take pride in. Despite the pessimism surrounding today’s Sumatran Jungle, Rere and her activist friends’ efforts to preserve the forest offer a glimmer of hope, demonstrating that they should not have to work alone. The Sumatran Jungle and the balance of the universe across the archipelago serve as a barometer for the quality of life for the people who live within it.
