Lensa Anak Terminal (Vol.II)

2024The presence of child worker groups in the informal sector in Depok–engaging in activities on the streets and in public spaces as buskers, street vendors, waste pickers, and parking attendants–led to the establishment of Lensa Anak Terminal (LAT). The LAT Volume II photobook is a pedagogical manifestation in developing creative visual arts education for these children.

The collage technique introduced in Volume II presents a striking contrast to Volume I. By combining photography, drawing, collage, and storytelling, the LAT children create a new expression to convey their interpretations of the realities captured in their photographs. Each book cover features a unique illustration, hand-drawn by the LAT children as the creators.

Lensa Anak Terminal Vol.II was honored with the Photobook Dummy Award for the most favourite selection by visitors at the Jakarta International Photo Festival 2023.
