In Palestine and Israel, the diversity and the tolerance of the Middle East are increasingly evident. As we know, Jerusalem is a sacred city for three major religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Both Israelis and Palestinians consider Jerusalem their nation's capital. On the Via Dolorosa, or the Path of Suffering–where Jesus walked before being crucified–the diversity is strongly felt.

Pelangi di Timur Tengah was launched for this reason: a longing for peace and tolerance. Pelangi (which means rainbow in Indonesia) represents a spectrum of colors that appears on the horizon after the rain.
