This project aims to free Agung from his struggle with the past–a deep sense of emptiness and powerlessness, shaped by memories intertwined with warmth and love, stemming from a longing for someone. These episodes of life, captured in each photographs in this personal project, represent a déjà vu of his childhood. They reflect a past moment when he yearned for a father figure who had a significant influence on his life.

The New Order Regime and the G30S incident marked a dark period in Indonesia’s political history, where blood was spilled, flowing like a river and merging with the soil in the front yard. Innocent victims were arrested without investigation and imprisoned without trial. Among them was Koentjoro, Agung’s father.
